Post – reading T asks Ss to use their own words to tell the group what they have 8-10’ known about the AODAI. Homework 2’ T asks Ss to write 5 sentences to describe AODAI. VI Self – evaluation: How about going to the party? What time of clothes do you like best? -Ss do task a. -T corrects the task and explains the meanings of the new words Adjectives: casual, sleeveless, plain, plaid, baggy(using real objects and pictures) Practice (20’) -Ss work in groups (do task b), read and write two more questions for the last section of the survey about the ss’ wear -T asks ss to carry out the survey -Ss read the results of the survey carefully (task c) -The group leader of each group come to the front to report their results Production (10’) -T asks ss to write sentences based on the chart Homework (3’) -Ss write 3 sentences about the clothes they like best VI/Self - evaluation: Where was she last seen? What was she like then? -Ss listen and check the letter of the correct picture to show what Mary is wearing at that time. (She is wearing blue shorts, a long-sleeved blouse and brown shoes.) Post-listening -Ss describe one of their friends through the answers to these questions. (20’) How old is (s)he? What is (s)he like? What type of clothing does (s)he like wearing? Homework -T asks ss to write the description of their friends into notebooks and (3’) collect the pictures and the facts due to “jeans”. VI/Self - evaluation: Week: Period: Teaching date: UNIT 2: CLOTHING Lesson 4: Read I/Objectives: After finishing the lesson, ss may -develop reading skills. -have more knowledge of the origin and development of jeans. II/Language content: -Vocabulary: material, style, label, designer, sailor (n), embroider, design (v) III/Techniques: -Brainstorming -Questions and answers the questions above. -Ss do task a/ 17 (individually) -Ss do task b/18 (in pairs) -T gives feedback if it’s necessary Post-listening -Ss discuss the time and places that are suitable to wear jeans. (10’) Homework (3’) -Ss write a passage about the problems that they have discussed in the classroom VI/Self - evaluation: Week: Period: Teaching date: UNIT 2: CLOTHING Lesson 5: Write I/Objectives: After finishing the lesson, ss may -develop writing skills. -write arguments based on the given cues. II/Language content: -Vocabulary: encourage, be equal in, bear one’s name(v), freedom of choice (n), self- confident (adj.) II/Techniques: -Brainstorming -Questions and answers -Guessing -Sentence transformation (20’) -Ss work in group to discuss topic and guess some more ideas about the topic. -Ss write a paragraph of 100 – 150 words to support the argument that secondary students should wear casual clothes, using the outline on page 19. Post-writing -T has ss compare their writings to the others’ and checks ss’ mistakes. (10’) -Some ss come to the front to speak out their ideas of the argument. Homework (3’) -Ss write down the passage on the exercise book. VI/Self - evaluation: Week: Period: Teaching date: UNIT 2: CLOTHING Lesson 6: Language Focus I/Objectives: -Ss have chance to review the grammar points in Unit 2 (The Present Perfect and Passive Voice) -Ss can distinguish the difference between the past simple present perfect tense and be able to use the passive form. II/Language content: -The Present Perfect tense -The Passive Voice III/Techniques: -Brainstorming -Questions and answers -Guessing -Gap- filling 5.Task 5 -Ss carry out the same steps as task 4 *Answers: The problem can be solved. Experiment on animals should be stopped. Life might be found on another planet. All the schools in the city have to be improved. A new bridge is going to be built in the area. Homework (5’) -Ss have to copy the sentences of these tasks into their notebook. VI/Self - evaluation:
