Practice (15’) -T gives Ss some pre- listening questions 
 How many celebrations are mentioned in the passage? 
 What are they? 
 -T plays the tape again and asks Ss do the task (page 66 in 
 textbook) 
 -Ss listen and complete the chart 
Production (10’) -T has Ss use world nap to ask and answer about the time, 
 activities, and special food of Lunar New Year, Passover and 
 Easter. 
 -T explains the structure briefly (Relative clause) 
Homework (3’) -Ss write three sentences about the time, activities and special food 
 which are used in the special occasions

 Warm-up *Relative clause completion 
 (7’) -T asks Ss to work in groups (Ss say the first clause of a complex 
 sentence, T calls at random on members of the groups to complete the 
 sentences. Ss can use their own ideas but they have to make sense. Ss 
 with no reaction (no answers) in less than 5 seconds will be the loser.
